Still haven't had a player with his swagger/scoring ability since he left
Vesley sucks but I will say this about the kid.
He definitely has basketball IQ, he can make a nice pass, he obviously can finish at the rim.
But thats where it stops. He has no skill. No offensive game to speak of. No confidence at all unless he is running on the fastbreak.
If a team like the Spurs drafted him, I think they could work with him cause the kid is nearly 7 foot, athletic, and he knows the game. He just has no skill to speak of. I wish he had one. Like being a great defender or being a great rebounder. If he had something like that to hang his hat on, I would feel a little better about him. But he has none. Its amazing that Ernie Grunfeld and the Wizards scouting team watched this kid from 2009-2011... FOR TWO YEARS and didn't see all this.
They picked him without hesitation. They invited the whole staff of the Czech Republic Embassy to the draft party and when I heard it on the radio, I literally yelled "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" ... I was content with settling for Kwahi Leonard who impressed the Wizards in workouts. I'm so pissed they passed on him. The Wizards should have sent him to the D-League this year when it was obvious he would get no minutes behind better bigs in Nene, Okafor, Seraphin, and any combination of Booker/Singleton.
His contract is $4.2 million in 2014-2015. The Wizards better opt out of that before the upcoming season

Well, the Wizards player development is historically bad though.
