Just so ya'll know. Alot of these allegations of Nike using sweatshops stem from racism. People usually say that because they are anti asian, not because they have ever seen any evidence that this is actually true.
They do the same thing with MSG. and try to say it was dangerous to eat. this was actually a myth perpetrated by white businesses to stem competition from asian eateries. MSG is just fancy salt. It's very likely this "modern slavery" angle is similar . We need these people to start showing receipts instead of trying to shame black people for not caring enough to jump on the bandwagon, just because you said so.
Also this is one of those "elective issues" anyway as it doesn't actually affect your daily life. So shame on us for giving more attention to domestic issues that affect us everyday? Why don't we care as much about chinese labor issues as we do about US police brutality? Because we live here dummy. tf?

This is basically saying they don't pay the workers enough. Thats no different than what amazon is doing. I don't see that equates to the same thing as what Enes Kanter is saying, enslaving, torturing and beating their workers. White people throw around the word 'slavery' to loosely it's insulting to what actual slaves went through in this country. Just advocate for increased wages

Amazon workers literally couldn't go the bathroom in their own factories. Drivers have to pee in bottles and workers are underpaid. Amazon is a sweatshop.
These sweat shops have the same conditions all around the world.
What I don't get if he is so against the Chinese government for human rights issues, why is he limiting his fight to Nike and LeBron James? Damn near every international company does business with China. I bet if Kanter looks in his own house he will find dozens of products with the words "Made in China" on them. Where is the attack on Black and Decker, Barbie, Gillette, Under Armour, Levi, etc. for having their products made in China? Apple has iPhone parts and Ford has car parts come from China. Hell, even some MAGA products are made in China. The smoke should be for any company that does business with China if he is concerned with their human rights issues. But for some reason, he has zeroed in on those companies that have black faces at the forefront...
