I don’t get why the NBA has tried to change the ball. First they tried to bring in the synthetic rubber shyt a decade ago and now they change it to a Wilson ball. Everyone is used to the spalding. You don’t next fix shyt that’s not broken.

This ball excuse is jokes. Players would've been raising hell before training camp/preseason even started if this was anything other than 3rd party plea copping - like last time. Difference is players petitioned for and agreed on the new ball :dead:

Jay need to stop too. Dude has low key been on the same shyt as Kendrick Perkins, he's just more eloquent about how slimy he is....

edit: Wilson to Introduce New NBA Game Ball, Adds Trae Young and Jamal Murray as Advisors players can run it with murray and trae along with the NBPA and competition committee as well as anyone else who was on board instead of throwing their hands up like "how could this happen :damn:" after shooting 2-14 from 3 and telling their favorite talking head to run interference for them on TV

The Spalding NBA ball is a tradition and damn near an institution for the game and league at this point. Rawlings' MLB baseballs, Wilson NFL footballs, and Spalding NBA basketballs. Don't really see the need to change brands at this point. I kind of side with the players on this one

I could be wrong, but I think its because of college/AAU using the Wilson ball and its just what guys developed with

They changed it because they got more money. They changed jerseys, added ads, changed socks, etc all because of more money. It's a business. It's not like Wilson is some 2nd tier brand, a lot of people use it for basketball at workouts, etc. The elite players have not been affected, the players crying about this are the same guys crying about the lack of fouls. Its just an excuse.

I’m gonna assume it’s because Wilson put up more money than Spalding did lol.
its not always that simple. even if you do strong arm in shyt equipment that actually effects play, it'll be obvious from rip and players/staff/coaches gonna raise hell. rims, backboards, balls, the sleeved jerseys, etc... - if it even makes it to the regular season, there's almost always uniform protest about the issue from top to bottom.

its not like decals on jerseys or holographic ad placement on the courts or whatever. if equipment is actually damaging the product or level of play, its not gonna fly.

these complaints now are selective as fukk :mjlol: i mean shyt if paul george of all people getting work done then dudes need to look in the mirror

A broken in Spalding nba game ball is better than Wilson’s. It’s really not close
Steph is only 43% and career low in 3p%
