They not only have a weak union but the players themselves aren’t stable. Most of This generation of players still come from barely middle class families, combine that with keeping up with their better paid peers, spending what they finally worked hard for, handout where familiy & friends, etc.....

they can’t hold out for a a few games or season. They need there bonuses, the more they age the fast to retirement, older players who are finally stable aren’t wasting a year on a rookie...especially one that might replace him in a few years.

That environment isn’t truly healthy. The owners have all the power

For a sport that all about putting the team before the individual compared to the NBA....they can’t seem to hold each other down.

Packers who play in green bay generated 450 mill in revenue in 2016. I can't imagine what teams like the cowboys and giants did. NFL could easily push the salary cap up from 180 to 250 mill next season and every NFL team would still turn a good profit.
