I think it's time to settle this.

In the past few days I've seen people delegitimize the '80s Lakers and Celtics as dominating in a weak era.
I've seen people trashing Lebron for dominating the East.
I've seen people trashing the Warriors for dominating injured teams.
And yet I've also seen people saying these Warriors and Cavaliers would beat teams from past eras.

So which one is it?
Great teams that steamroll the competition deserve credit?
Or they're only good because everyone else sucks?

:hula:

Or we just gonna run with whatever narrative fits our agenda? :skip:

Whenever superteams form this happens usually. Superteams seem to happen in spurts throughout the years. I dont think the league is weak, it's just great teams. Even when the league is "strong" theres always a team favored to win it all and they usually do.

The league is relatively weak because the competitive balance has completely shifted to 2 teams. Yes, Kevin Durant is largely to blame for it. You literally have 2 teams that were penciled into the finals with the 1 wild card being the spurs.

Everyone else? Nice stories, but none were going to make any serious noise. Not the Rockets, which even fooled me for a bit after they shytted on the Spurs in game 1.

Also, this narrative that the west is so much stronger and that LeBron has it easy needs to stop. The Cavs are also undefeated if they were playing out west. The Warriors in their first 10 games have faced two tough quarters before ZaZa went dirty.

Every series that hasn't involved the Cavs and Warriors has been good this year. :yeshrug:

You just got a top heavy league. The inevitable is coming and I'd rather see an epic Finals than an epic Conference Finals followed by a sweep. Can you honestly ask for a better Finals matchup?

Yup. Clevelands dominance has actually done Golden State a favor because now the matchup looks fair. You cant be up by 50 at one point in a ECF game and play the asterisk card if you lose in the Finals.

Im talking to you @OG_StankBrefs
Yup. This media guys/Bron stans been waiting to use that Warriors have a stacked team excuse in case Bron goes out but they about to enter the playoffs with the longest winning streak in playoff history and undefeated. I don't wanna hear that underdog shyt when the Finals start. :camby:
