There is no chance anyone would make games if they started at 5pm. 6pm and the arena would be 30% full. What a stupid thing to even consider.

And I’m talking about us folk in DC, where we have a (sometimes) functioning transit system that most people rely. People in LA would show up to games after halftime. Just idiotic.

They make their money in the TV contracts not the turnstiles.

I mean, I don't get up early for work but generally speaking the second game on a TNT doubleheader will start around 10:30 and go till around 1, if you've got multiple OTs you're looking at a 2AM finish. No one's trying to do that who has to get up at 7am

Thats why 730 is the perfect start time....you get out of work around 5-6 and you got some time to get to the game by 7:30. shyt most Laker games the arena is empty until midway thru the 1st qtr, like 7:50-8ish, because of traffic
