Just because a person enjoy the entertainment of music, it doesn't mean they want to see musicians get violent in real life. Most people who have morals don't want to see violence arise in their neighborhoods regardless of the music they listened to.
Look at my previous response and my comparison to suburban youth getting their drugs from largely underprivileged black youth. Yes, hip hop is entertainment but when it comes down to it you are listening to someone claiming they sell drugs, shoot people, etc....so surprise surprise some people actually do it. hip-hop is like no other genre of music in that way. I see where ya'll coming from i'm not saying anyones 100% right but if you can't see the irony in a publication that bigs up rappers that rap about "really being about that life" and then someone really is and they act shocked i don't know what to tell you.
