Maryland was not a Confederate state, it remained in the Union during the Civil War. Plus, it's not a Southern state, otherwise that would make Baltimore and DC southern cities. Another topic you remain wrong on![]()
It was a Union state. But it still had slavery in Maryland. It was very much was and technically still is a Southern state. It would make DC in the South also. Where did you learn history from?

It's below the Mason-Dixon line, so yeah it's technically the South. But culturally, MD and DC are the North.
