These motherfukkers just cannot tell me when my shift ends
No i do not want to wait until orientation SMH man....too many surprises. This is why i still haven't told my current job about what im doing or given a 2 weeks notice yet cause i have no idea what will happen. these motherfukkers get me so heated man how hard is it to tell me when my shift will most lkely end?
and there is no one else for me to contact like the postmaster
Sorry breh...
This is the United States Postal Service were they act reactive instead of of proactive...
They really shouldn't even have you training during this peak operational month. That goes for any craft..
Plus supervisors "rarely" care as long as the job gets done and they don't have to worry about the station manager/postmaster breathing down their neck. You will see the fukkery that gets paid just to seat around and fukk up schedules and nothing else...
Also keep up with your time breh..
Ask for a green card, write down on a piece of paper, copy, do whatever to protect yourself because USPS doesn't care. There have been people at my station, who worked for damn near a month without pay..
Immediately find out your crafts union rep and stay on your shyt.
Also being that you are a newbie, they will work you and not tell you an end shift because of probation.
Now once you get pass the 90 days you have two options..
1) just go along with the bullshyt and get your money and try to get in good with a supervisor( play the game)..
2) Start filing grievances on their asses. The thing with that is retaliation can happen and they will be waiting to get your ass fired..
Running to the postmaster/station manager too much and they will definitely stay trying to murk you...
The best advice is to(if you can) cut back on your other job(s) to one day a week until your fully in the door..
I know that is stupid but if you stay long, you will see that nothing runs off of logic in the Post Office..
Also, if they cut your hours after orientation, try calling around to see if they need help at other stations..
It's different for every craft(I'm an Regular RCA. They have until 9:30am to call you for availability) but if you are a clerk, CCA, it could be different. If you go to work at another station, and perform well, they will try to recruit you but the problem with that is management can start being petty at your OG station and start fukking with you and calling you in randomly..
I had similar problems until I proved myself..
Just try to hang in there and don't get too frustrated.. Once you pass the bullshyt, it's not a bad job, it's just some of the people make it hard..
Good Luck..
