They came out with a 2014 so I guess it will be up to date till 2016 when I graduate then

The 4 gb or the 8 gb.
The thing about MacBooks though it really doesn't matter if they come out with a new one every year. I got mine in 2012 and it still runs like new. If money is not an issue for for the 8 GB. The operating system is so smooth you wouldn't notice a difference though unless your editing video and such.

I think I'm going with the MacBook Pro my fear is that I buy it in august and they drop a brand new 1 a month later :beli:

They will. But Macs are quality and hold their value.

Think of it like iPods. I'm still rocking the iPod Nano from like 9 years ago. shyt is still piff and does what I need. Also if I wanted to sell it, I guarantee someone would buy it. Same with the iPhones.

Look up the schedule for their drops and buy one when the newest one drops if you just HAVE to get the latest and greatest.

The best value is copping a refurbished one from the apple store though. Save a few hundred bucks and have better quality control than the non refurb units.

This is not an issue. Macs hold their value like crazy.

If money is not an issue, just get the newest one (I generally am against buying new electronics simply b/c it will become used eventually but that's me).

I'm trying to cop a bunch of macbooks on clist right now to reflip but these muhfukkas are not letting up on their price. I think I found a couple good offers:

2012 15 inch MacBook Pro 8GB 750GB quad core i7 for $1000

I just seen a brand new 13.3" joint for like $750

My next question is what are the major differences between a macbook and macbrook pro and in what cases would the price markup for the pro be worth it? I do programming from time to time but mostly just use my laptop to do internet based work, no gaming, etc. Do I need a pro or would I be just as happy with a regular macbook?

I mean the process of developing the product. Refurb items from Apple are tested more closely than the normal items from their standard supply lines. Either way, they're some of the greatest machines from a quality standpoint that you can buy
