Aside from straight-to-DVD shyt the hood subgenre kinda died out. Then again black movies in general mostly died out since the 90s.

I know there was a hood movie that came out recently, I forgot the name and I been looking for it. I think it's set in Cali and it came out in the last year or so. One scene I remember in the preview was the main characters riding in a bus? (not Fruitvale station, already seen it) I think it got some Sundance props too. Anybody know?
