Cop yourself a AT4040 or AT2020

A mic stand, and a pop filter, you always gon need a interface to connect ya mic to to connect to the computer, also a pre-amp if you wanna get fancy.


Thats all you really need for now.

How big is the difference between 2020 and 4040? Is it worth it to get the 4040 for strictly rap verses?

If you rapping it dont really matter, jus rap loud .


But most of the professional underground rappers you heard (Currensy, Smoke Dza, Mac Miller, Wiz Khalifa(B4 he sold out) )

Have recorded some your favorite verses on a 4040. That shyt run like 600 tho.


If you just starting out I would suggest coppin the 2020 and working ya way up over time.

M-audio fast track. Its like a 100.


But I think with the AT2020 you always have the option to plug it straight to ya comp thru the usb.
