Neighbor keeps asking for things

Any brehs ever had a neighbor that periodically ask for things? Ex: they’ll ask to use your restroom, ask to use your phone, ask to borrow sugar, ask to borrow quarters, ask to borrow cinnamon and never pay back. Keep in mind it’s periodically. Is this normal neighbor behavior?

Also asked to borrow can opener and chargers to phones.

They used to ask to use my lawnmower , but i switched up a got an electric mower and they yard not set up for that. Kids stay asking for my wifi. Other neighbor stay asking for my bottles but she always brings me food and bakes me cakes. For the most part all my neighbors cool tho.

i was the only person on my floor for 5 yrs...i could literally open the door...n turn my system up n wouldnt bother nobody...

I hate all neighbours, even the nice ones.
I try not to talk to any of my neighbours
I am known to give people the cold shoulder, I ignore everyone, and try to avoid any conversations with any of them.

I don't want any of them to use my bathroom or my shower, FUKK DAT!!!!
If someone came and ask i'd say it's not working, I gotta fix it, if they say oh I know a plumber, i say no I said I was going to fix it myself.
I don't ask them for anything, I never ever asked a neighbour for something and never ever will.

But OP no that is not normal at all.
You gotta cut the snake's head off ASAP.
Set boundaries ASAP, otherwise you will just increase their level of comfort to ask for more things.
If you don't do it now, you surely will eventually if it continues, and once you do you will just wish you did it earlier.
Don't procrastinate, try not to socialize with neighbours and set boundaries ASAP.
If you don't want to say no, then just do it with body language, just give them the cold shoulder.
And don't answer the door.
Many times I don't answer my door, it's my fukkin house and my schedule, if your knock on the door is not on my schedule then i'm not answering it!!

Nah..

I have asked and been asked to grab a package or two from a neighbor across the street.

As for the other stuff you mentioned, nah...

I live in a residential neighborhood, so there is no reason to ask me to use the bathroom. They all got at least 3 of their own. As for sugar, cinnamon and all that stuff, they got jobs. Same with phone chargers and other miscellaneous stuff...

Is your neighbor struggling financially or something? May wanna just tell them politely that you don't have anything for them to borrow and go on about your business....

Honestly this is how all neighbors should be with each other. The world would be 100x better off if we felt free to be neighborly and ask for shyt and then let our friends and neighbors borrow shyt in return. There'd be more trust, more community, we'd all save money, less overconsumption. Pretty sure it used to be more like this at one point, especially in the Black community. You'd help your neighbor build his fukking house, harvest his crops, look after his kids, damn near anything knowing he'd do it for you in return.

Lol I’m pretty much the same, however I do always help neighbors when I can, but I’ve never experienced this. I sometimes wonder if maybe I’m just “awkward” since neighbors use to be United and look out back in my parents era. Also it’s become creepy, as the neighbor is a women with a daughter that works. It’s creepy af and she always totes the trash, not the daughter.
