North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:

According to online reports, Nelly secured a buyer for his abandoned mansion, just one week after listing it for sale. The "Hot In Herre" rapper listed the spacious six-bedroom, seven-bathroom Wildwood home for just $600,000 on February 11, and by February 18, he had already secured an offer.

The property has been sitting empty for almost two decades. Nelly initially purchased it in 2002 for $2 million in hopes of renovating it and flipping it, but he decided not to begin the project after all.

The house, which features a private basketball court, an in-ground infinity pool and a three-car garage, is now an eyesore, with no plumbing and no flooring and not in move in condition.

The home which is 30 miles from St. Louis will likely be torn down and fully rebuilt but will present its new owner with lots of architectural opportunities and options as the home sits on 12 acres of land. Nelly who wanted to be done with the property, and took a 1.5M loss to do so, is currently renting in Calabasas.

on 12 acres of land. I guess he couldn’t keep up with the property taxes. It’s a dumb move. Land ownership is just as good as cash. He couldn’t turned it into something else.

Has there ever been a story of an athlete, rapper, entertainer ever selling a house and not taking a loss on it? From 50's mansion to Birdman joint in Miami and even Jordan I think still sitting on that house he been trying to sell for years in Chicago. What gives?

A very small percentage of people who can buy that type of property and those people have the time resources to buy it in their favor. You don't here about non famous people taking a loss, nor do you hear about black athletes and celebrities who win.
