and its fire

Rap gawd Nelly killed it

The producer Jay E did work on country grammer and he said they both wanted to do a record together.

edit here is the article:

RESPECT Interview: Diamond Selling and Grammy Nominated Producer For "Country Grammer" Jay-E

St. Louis-born record producer and DJ. Jay E is best known as the main producer of rapper and entrepreneur Nelly‘s multi-platinum 2000 album “Country Grammar“, which has sold more than 10 million units worldwide.

RESPECT.: You mentioned that you would be working with several artists from St. Louis on this project. How were you able to get Nelly and Chingy to work together on this album?

The process was not as complicated as you might think, Nelly wanted to work with Chingy on a song and vice versa it was just the matter of making it happen. It just so happens that I was with both artists while they were out in Vegas and I think they did a couple of shows together. At the time Nelly and I were working on some new songs and thought it would be the right situation for Chingy to be a part of.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
Jayson (jay e) eperson.

I used to actively look for dudes beats because he was original and/or had skill on drum programming and instrumentation.

Want to say that he also dis Ali's Mid-West swing and Breathe In Breathe Out.

Dude was a beast behind the boards. I despise the trap sound so mich becuz every fukkin producer feels compelled to chime in on the trend and its really holding rap/hiphop back.

Fukk trap style production. Shiit is literally the greatest bane in the genre. Quote my fukkin words on that.

If u want to transcend that sound, remove urself from it. We need to bring regional rap back. Variety is the spice of life... Now u got these fukktard 808 mafia guys executive producing albums that sound like one long track with different loops. Wtf is that!!??!!

You wont hear any of that shiit in my whip.

Jeezys latetst lp seems to have him reverting to his old style.

Slim thug also overlooked trap beats and went predominantly w that houston playa sound weve grown to admire.

Just becuz a bunch of atl rappers and up and coming stripper rappers are on it.... You dont have to follow it. Create ur own lane. Rap is known for making new trends and establishing new sounds. Trap is trite. And u know its wrong when rock artists and country peeps are replicating it.

And u literally have trap in every language becuz is so generic and simple to reproduce.
