Nelly's 2000 album "Country Grammar" is in a rarefied category -- the St. Louis rapper's debut release has reached 10 million in sales and streams, which means it is officially certified "diamond" (equating to platinum ten times over) by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Nelly was presented the Diamond Album Award by surprise Monday night at Nelly's charity concert for Musicians On Call, produced and sponsored by the RIAA at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer.
"Country Grammar" spawned hits such as the title track along with "E.I." and "Ride wit Me." The album also kicked off the the St. Louis rap invasion worldwide.
