I'm from down here in alabama. In general, black woman ain't really trying to rock with nikkas that's into marvel and anime (at least not on the front end). It's all about relatability and many of them around here can't relate to it whatsoever.

Not saying you got to hide it or it can't be done but it's definitely somewhat of a handicap.

Besides, there's a new type of person out there: the proudly nerdy person who takes care of themselves. I've met women who are lifting weights in the gym while wearing spider gwen style pants or wearing an N7 hood. If a woman can't at least respect my interests then I'm not wasting my time. This doesn't become a problem as soon as you turn 30. People are willing to let frivolous bullshyt like that fall to the wayside. The key is to not make it a permeant aspect of ones personality. Yes, a potential mate may be curious about One Piece or Akira, but they not trying to refer to you as some Japanese psyedonuym when you clearly don't have enough bread to spend on hygienic products. Gotta have a balance. If you workout, and keep yourself in good shape, have solid grooming habits, then you shouldn't have a problem finding someone. We also have to remember that "nerd culture" is in right now, so it's not a big deal as people overexaggerate it to be.
