Finished this in one day. Wasn’t born when it happened but remember the 20th anniversary being a big deal. It’s crazy how they sacrificed people’s lives for the almighty dollar. I googled and saw they didn’t even settle with some of the families..including of course the breh :mjpls:

Middle school and high school in my neighborhood growing up was named after the black dude

You can sit thru the bengazi stuff or you can go to 3:25 to find out why the Challenger exploded

Was a youngster when it happened but I remember because of my folks talking about Brother McNair. He was a big deal to Black people because that was back when few of us were really getting those kinda opportunities. Im sure that man fought like hell and endured a whole lot to accomplish what he did in that era. Helluva accomplishment in any era, but he came up in a time when it was still kinda openly hostile.

I've actually watched this doc multiple times.
It's just crazy how they knew what was up and DGAF. Then one of the so-called leaders "signed off" on the launch but "under protest". Like muthafuka pick a side.

I was 7 yrs old at time and at school it was always a thing to show the shuttle fly off into space. So naturally they gathered up rhe entire school to the auditorium and cafeteria to watch. When it happened my "7yr old brain" thought the explosion was the coolest thing ever. Until about 20 seconds later and the faculty in attendance immediately shut the tv off. I was not aware that the shuttle had just blown up and they all died. They didn't even address it at all for the rest of the day. The coverage of the event rivaled
9/11
MJ dying
OJ Simpson's slow chase.
And then to find out that it could've totally been avoided .
