There is definitely a subset of rich Black ppl that are corny and always trying their best to hold onto their Blackness even though their lives do not reflect how most Black ppl are living. That’s the whole point of shows like this. Like, that’s the joke haha.

Stop. The whole "Defend your blackness" thing has been a troupe for Hollywood and comedy for years. You have never in your life ran into a black person that was like,
"Man growing up I was quizzed about all the Jacksons and Wayans family members!"

For once it would be interesting to see a mixed person try to "fit in" with their cac side of the family in a movie, but we never will because the "Are they black enough?" running gag is just so hilarious
