I only watch Netflix for their shyt tho...most of the movies on there suck
I'm starting to think it's by design. :martin:

They've also been getting rid of popular (syndicated) tv shows. It's quite obvious that they want people to watch their original shyt instead. But apart from a few shows, their originals are TERRIBLE. :dame:

Netflix is a classic case of having too much money and not knowing what do with it. They approve too many original shows.

I don't think it's JUST Netflix. Renting/buying digitally is just too easy these days. Netflix streaming service is pretty shytty if you're depending on them for new movies. They are way behind on getting new releases. I actually prefer their DVD rental service (though I have both plans) because there's so much more available; obscure shyt that'll never make it to streaming.

That said, I still buy DVDs from time to time for stuff that I can't stream or rent from Netflix.

A Netflix original used to be an infrequent and special event. It's crazy how many originals they have now. shyt they don't even bother to promote. Granted, a good portion of their originals are foreign shows they've bought the rights to, but there's still a ton of TRUE Netflix originals flooding the service. They've provided some great shows, but I do kinda miss when they put a lot of emphasis on licensing the rights to movies as well.

fukk em. They had a chance to buy Netflix or implement a similar software before Netflix killed them but, they didn't. I swear if I was ever in that position....it's not that hard. When technology shifts, you shift with it. Not try to cling to Model 1.0 to keep your profit stream. Facebook gets it. That's why they buy up the smaller companies before they become competitors or they immediately jack their product and kill them off.

they don't put much effort at all. What about the movie posters with a picture of the cast looking like some GQ ad? folks don't know there's a science to it.

There's been a nice renaissance of dope movie posters lately.

Netflix, lower cost of storage, and higher availability of high speed internet is definitely killing DVDs. In the past you had to get the DVD to get the high quality content. That's no longer the case. I can now stream that quality.
Yup
I used to get a Redbox to literally every week back in 2011 and 2012 but now I literally can just stream movies the week after they are released its kind of fukked-up but oh well

newer and better technologies always replace the old ones. The VHS tape was replaced by the DVD. The DVD was replaced by the Blu-ray. I expect to see video games follow the same route with downloads
I hope not because physical video games can still be flipped and you can get some money back for them if you trade them in

and what if you don't have internet connection?

people who don't support the entertainment they like are horrible people.
