I also learned about War dialing ,, I had to go back and watch war games since I had a better under standing of what that lil mufukka was doing in the movie........ I was like oh shyt at those old data centers 
then to those old modem sounds in 80's

Was this dude war dialing in the show? I thought that only dealt with old ass modems.
But yeah I been knowing about social engineering, im taking a refresher course and dude was talking about how to break into seemingly expensive and unpenatratable (sp?) networks.
And the main way was through the users. Using social media and etc to trick them into giving you information... normal stuff. There was other shyt we used too but its funny watching this dude do the basics tho. I thought he was really a hacker at first (technically he is kinda)

Yeah in that movie he was war dialing, calling a bunch of numbers looking for a modem or something.
If you want to see some cool modern hacking type shyt watch the show Person Of Interest... goes into a more broader range of social engineering and ethical hacking to tell its story imo.

Just finished the first season, shyt was great
I was thinking Joe could playna crazy good Yagami Light in a Death Note live action show done properly but Netflix already fukked that all the way up.
