Never Forget is a thread series where you and I - your host, Taadow - revisit hits that have been stored in the
attic of our minds. Today 40 Water & Bo-Roc - "Things'll Never Change".
"B-B-BUT WAS IT REALLY A HIT??"
Billboard Hot 100 Peak: #29
Billboard Hot Dance Singles Sales Peak: #26
Billboard Hot Rhythmic Top 40 Peak: #30
Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs #19
Billboard Hot Rap Singles Peak: #4
UK Billboard 200 Peak: #114
AFTERMATH:
- You: "Whaat? Naw, that can't be true...I kinda remember this, but I don't remember it being a
hit like that..." Yep...this was E-40s biggest hit before "U And Dat" came out.
Most people don't realize this because it was originally the B-Side to "Rappers' Ball",
and with the alleged Biggie dis that cut got more media attention. Yet and still,
according to the numbers this song/video got more airplay, especially on the "non-urban" stations.
- This is another notch in the belt for Bo Rock of The Dove Shack.
It can be argued that Bo Rock is #2 behind Nate Dogg (especially at the time of this song)
for those who made the "Hook Singer" a legit position in the rap game.
