Never Forget is a thread series where you and I - your host, Taadow - revisit hits that many have put back in the attic of their minds. Today we look at Uncle Luke - "Scarred".
"B-B-BUT WAS IT REALLY A HIT??"
Billboard Hot 100 Peak: #64
Billboard Hot Rap Singles Peak: #7
AFTERMATH:
- This is probably the pre-dominant Luke track for many young'uns because it is the first Luke single
that was released in '95-'96, when bass rap was actually at it's height of acceptance.
- first hearing of the man we know and love as Trick Daddy Dollars.
- This is one of those tracks that suffers from people not knowing the actual name. lol
I couldn't tell you how many people used to request this asking for "Hydraulics" or "Captain D".
