Never Forget is a thread series where you and I - your host, Taadow - revisit hits that have been pushed back into the attic of your mind. Today - Steady Mobb'n f/Master P - "If I Could Change".

"B-B-BUT WAS IT REALLY A HIT??"

Billboard Hot 100 Peak: #40
Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks Peak: #27
Billboard Hot Rap Singles Peak: #5

AFTERMATH:

This often gets overlooked because it was on the I'm 'Bout It Soundtrack (No Limit's first gold album, btw),
and two other hits from that album ("How Ya Do Dat", "Pushin' Inside You") seem to get
more props.

This is a No Limit Bay song. There are more.

"I couldn't see it while I was outside slangin my rocks
Servin death to my people, commiting the ultimate evil"

Classic song (The whole I'm Bout It soundtrack really). No Limit really had some dope emcees in their heyday. They were anything but all flash and no substance.
