Konnan was mega over, he never had a chance at a top spot. WCW under Bischoff & Russo was the most racist company there was because they denied non whites top spots even when it would have made money. Until they lost the race discrimination lawsuit in 2000 and we got a presto Booker T reign. WCW commissioned a survey in 1996 whereas it was revealed that the fans wanted to see more of Eddie Guerrero (this was during the NWO peak), and was the best guy they had and he never saw above mid card.

That was sarcasm, Konnan could have certainly been a main eventer in WCW had they cycled guys at the top rather than enact the glass ceiling. He was hugely over in the Wolfpac and they certainly could have went somewhere with that. Outside of Eddie and Jericho he was the best guy WCW had that didn't break through there.
