Me personally, I spend time with people in the hood...and I wouldn't be one bit surprised if nobody knew this. In theory yeah, everybody should know this, but in reality there's a gang of people who just didn't care enough to retain the information when it was first presented to them, and the countless times after.

Dude there are things you must know

• If you tell me you dont know HOW MANY countries are in Africa I'm fine with that
• If you tell me you can't name 3 countries are in Africa I'm fine with that
• If you tell me you confuse Guyana in South America and Ghanna in Africa... I'm fine with that

But to tell me you didnt think individual African Countries has their own government systems and didn't know America was a continent and not just the country U.S.A.....

A lot of Americans would get the "North America" question wrong because Americans are condescending towards Mexicans and spanish speakers and therefore consider Mexico part of Central or South America when it's really North America. It's ignorance by racism if you ask me. But it is what it is

BTW I like to think they ran through hundreds of people that KNEW the answers to these questions and edited them out to highlight the dumb fools since that's the point of that show.

I know the education system in the U.S. is... lacking compared to other advanced countries but i refuse to think it's that bad
