I'll never forget that interview that X-Pac gave where he brought up how insanely Jealous HHH was a Rock. Waltman said HHH would go on long rants about how Rock didn't have 'It" and that he'd flop as a top star, Waltman said he'd just look at HHH and say "What the hell are you talking about "

Rock legit had a LOT of people jealous of him, because he seemingly came in and went straight to the top in a very short period of time.

Props to Bret Hart for stepping in when the Klique tried to bury Rocky early on. Bret said HBK and HHH were burying Rock to Vince and Bret just wasn't having that shyt.

Man even as a young teen watching this shyt kayfabe that's how it came across. Rock and Hunter, out of everyone I watched during the most booming portion of the Attitude Era seemed like they had legit animosity under the surface. Always seemed like they were out for blood sonning each other, from the Nation of Domination/DX beef all the way to main event level.
