NOT say that children will be taken away from parents who don't "affirm their gender." That's a flat-out lie pushed by right-wing agitators and bad-faith actors who are deliberately twisting the language to drive fear and resentment. What the bill actually does is give courts the option to consider patterns of abuse, in the same way they already assess emotional or psychological harm, in custody cases where a child's well-being is in question. It ensures that
affirming a child's gender identity *can't* be used against a loving, supportive parent in a legal dispute. That's it. There are no mandates. No automatic removals. This is just common-sense protection. Don't let propagandists pretending to "protect children" gaslight you into defending abuse.
