damn i read bill was ranked top 10 high jumper in the world :wow:

i know people say he played against a bunch of nonathletic people but you can't deny with today's training, sports science etc he would still be dominant in the modern era...back then in the ncaa i heard dunking was an automatic technical....imagine the highlights he woulda had....

imagination not necessary - that's all NCAA footage. Dunking was illegal in the Kareem NCAA era in the 60's not the Bill Russell era in the 50's. He probably layed it in because he didn't want to show that poor defender up too much - back then players had a more conscious respect for other players and avoided showboating because some fans and players viewed it negatively and referred to it as "hotdogging"

:wow:

crazy like you hear about the stats but when you see footage like this it puts it into perspective he essentially coulda dunked it over a guy from damn near the free throw line :mindblown:

It's actually incredible to see how his videos come full circle on the net, from this site, to other sites and back here. Truthfully I'm waiting for when the clip shows up on tv. Hopefully he gets credit for it.

ESPN did contact me about it yesterday:

ESPN AssignmentDesk said:
Hello Dan the Man,
ESPN would like clearance to use this video. It is a fantastic clip and we are curious about where you got it from and if you own the rights to it. If this clip is not owned by you, can you tell us who owns it and how we contact them for clearance? If you do own the rights to it, would we be cleared to use on all our shows and platforms (including web)? How would you like us to credit/courtesy this footage and what other restrictions would there be for use? Please advise.

I gave them what I knew about the clips source, told them I was okay with them using the clip but never heard back so who knows if they'll do any story or highlight on it.
