hopefully it's a start and it's something sex workers support, I think the big legal issues are at the federal level though and need to be addressed
from some articles I've read the way police and the legal system have gone after sex workers and exploited them are just as bad as the other dangers they face so it's important they're taken out of the equation
Yeah, a former co-worker of mine was an organizer for sex workers rights (really, everyone’s rights lol) but she explained just how harrowing it is for them since they have no places for redress and in many cases the police take full advantage of them since they have the power to lock them up. Not to mention, freezing them out of the system prevents the medical field from stemming different diseases associated with this work.
I’ve veered more and more to the legalize and regulate side of things. This and drugs should be similarly legalized and regulated. Make it like cigs where there’s limits or bans on mass advertising. Besides, anyone that wants these things will find em they don’t have to be on grand display.
