Whassup Coli Folks,

Please check out my new collection of instrumentals. It's a concept album where each track is inspired by one of favorite musicians/producers. Some are obvious but others only contain a subtle sound or style that is unique to the person.

Please note that these are all original. Only the first 2 contain samples from the artists but they all are my own creations.

If you listen, please give me some feedback...all criticism/praise is welcome. And tell me if you can tell who the track was inspired by.

yeah, i'd say moody more than mellow. quite a bit of tension due to the dissonance. curious...what's your inspiration when you get behind the boards? there were a few where it seemed like you were playing on the keys like

Thanks, Homie. Much appreciated. as for the inspiration, my general inspiration is to try to make something I have never heard, or interpret sounds in a different way. I also like to use short samples (of anything not just from songs) and turn them in to "instruments" so to speak.

I often hear my stuff as background music or a movie score as opposed to something for a rapper/singer. i try...and i stress TRY to make music that can stand out on it's own without vocals. I listen to a lot of Hip-Hop influenced electronica/instrumental music (DJ Shadow, Amon Tobin, Blockhead, etc. and that is a big influence.

When I first started, people said my stuff was "Dark"...at first i was kind of offended like "You saying my music is Evil" because I didn't really understand what that meant. But then I eventually just adopted it as part of my style. Alchemist, DJ Muggs, Early Havoc and Early RZA are my favorite producers and a lot of thier stuff can be considered "dark" as well so i just accepted it.

But "demonic" tho???????



That's a first...I'm not sure weather I should feel or or or about that comment but I definitley respect where you are coming from. I have only been doing this for less than a year so all feedback is good feedback. thanks again breh.
