Kendrick just went plat homie... as long as u got skills + song writing ability your good. Slaughterhouse has rap skills but horrible song writing ability. they just think about bars and don't really make personal connections and when they try someone like Joel still got a find a way to inject some corny punches into a heart felt song

They need to be less formulaic

I'm not saying skills will bar you from success, but skills alone won't translate to success and thus the songwriting ability comes into play

I don't think that's the case, either. Between them, they've got really personal music, and they've connected with their fans. I think they just tried too hard to fit into the Shady mold. Often, new acts to Shady Records try to emulate Eminem's music in one way or another, I'm assuming to try to capture Em's fans. I just think that with the last album, they tread too hard in the Eminem lane, instead of just a more thorough version of what made them great. That's why I'm excited about Just Blaze executive producing their next album, I think he's the solution to that problem.

This is alright . They really just wash over me now lyrically . It's like I'm waiting for something to cringe at in a verse .

Royce is probably the most consistent . Crooked usually says something ridiculously bad , props on the MCA reference though .
