When you just filter stuff on WWE Shop.com by best seller (which is argubaly its larger channel of merch given it ships worldwide) Enzo & Cass, Cena, AJ and Owens are always the top seller.

Go to any live event and you'll see more Cena, New Day, Enzo/Cass, Ambrose, Nikki Bella, Bayley, and even Ziggler merchandise than you will Roman.
I guess it depends because I've been to a WWE show and I've seen grown ass men in Reigns shirts with belts screaming like women

I also have friends who have gone to meet and greets....Reigns' line be loaded and long as hell with men. Same with Seth Rollins. Them Shield boys push.

Im stunned HHH is stupid enough to believe that people pay money to go to these shows just to boo Roman Reigns. Even the neckbeardiest neckbeard would go to shout creepy things at the women wrestlers. Theres really no justification for his constant coronations other than "hey we like the guy so you should too" and its killing what Roman could be down the line.

HOSTING mania is bigger than any match New Day could have been
To be completely honest, their matches are usually only like 3.5* at best anyways. I'm not saying that they've never rose to the occasion (The night they had to wrestle twice and broke the record for instance), but they are more of a skit-centric group. Mania will give them the best platform they could possibly have to shine (Assuming they don't blow it....
) Besides, ya never know, maybe they do get a match? Maybe they get involved in the SMACKDOWN match and immediately go to SDL on Tuesday.....
Naw, but, it actually would be nice if Vince would allow them to at least rough someone up or something. Having said all that...Sasha is probably about to take that pin at Mania....
