They should never change the dualshock set up
they look rather different. 21c is round in the second pic
Those look like grip buttons.
The PS4 controller def needs a revision, it's quality isn't that great imo. The triggers have this plastic cylindrical piece that can crack internally causing the triggers to get stuck. Happened to two controllers in my house(My brothers and my cousins.)

Nvm, it's old apparently. I guess if anything it may have been speculated.
Changing the housing on a PS4 controller is easy. I would also swap out that battery.
I know this is a lil OT, but arent there rumors of Sony working on a VR controller?
