only jimi hendrix "song" he preformed was hey joe since it was not an "original" jimi hendrix song, he covered a few beatles songs, muddy waters and a few others, the one song i know he did for sure in the movie was sgt peppers lonely heart club at a theatre while ringo starr and john lennon were in attendance, as they were shown in the movie. keith richards also had a small part in the movie. my favorite scene of the movie was a telephone conversation jimi had with his father
andre was incredible as jimi, looked just like him and everything from his voice, clothing and all around personality, would not be suprised at all if it earned him an oscar nomination
the movie was not a final version of it the film, was sort of a rough cut and not the final product...the director john is trying to premier it at cannes or sundance which are in the summer i believe or whenever those film festivals are...as the film is an independent film, the budget was only 10 million or so
the movie starts off as jimi is preforming in clubs in nyc and how he starts to break into the industry once a former "the animals" band member becomes his manager and moves him to england and how he starts breaking out over there...the film does not depict his death or him at his peak, rather how he broke into the industry and his beginnings in it. i do not want to spoil the ending or anything though. but everything that happend in the movie was 100 percent true
but if you know who linda keith and kathy etchingham are though the actresses who play they resemble them so much it is scary along with andre as jimi...the casting and acting is phenomenal and on point
if you have anymore questions on the film let me know!![]()
Props on the details

I'm glad they're not doing the typical descent into hell type of biopic. They OD'd with the drugs in the Ray Charles movie and it took away from the film.
Just read an article where it says Andre's been in character for 4 straight months, so this is going to be official. Him possibly being Oscar-nominated would be

From what I've read, I'm glad they didn't even bother dealing with Jimi's half-sister, no one is liking the way she's dealing with the estate. With the movie being as good as you say it is she's about to cash in though.
