They're definitely providing a spark for the new cats, hopefully the vets and the rest of the game are going to follow their example. Substance is definitely back in the mainstream though.

If Jay's upcoming album aint his magnum opus, then it may be a rap for these old heads. It looks like the new generation are starting to usher in a new age.

It is a Golden Era, but on a Grander Scale.

We will look back at this time period, and say THAT'S when Hip Hop changed. For better or worst.

Cole isn't doing ANYTHING original though. Say what you will about Drake but he's definitely a trendsetter in his own way.

We in the "I think I can sing and rap era" The golden era is when everybody was checkin for every crew. Majority of the music was hot. And we had back to back classics that stand the test of time. This era is full of Jay Nas Kanye wannabes. Who haven't put out a classic. But want the bragging right cause their nice on the mic. And bytch and complain cause nobody gives a fukk.

None of these dudes have dropped a classic album though :patrice:

Not to be one of those trapped in the 90's nikkas but when you had The Chronic,Doggystyle,Ready To Die,MATW,Illmatic,,Tha Infamous,ATLines,Cuban Linx,RD,IWW etc..all dropping within a 3 year span, that's a golden era..and those are just some of the main albums..not countin all the regional and underground shyt. Aside from Drake most of these new cats are just putting their spin on 90's music and not even coming close.
