Yeah that shyt is cinematic and seems larger than a lot of 9th's work.

Listening to the sampler above now confirms to me where he got the sample for simple from:lolbron:. I was telling my boy yesterday it sounded familiar just couldn't out my finger on it. Dope shyt though, that particular artist catalog is goldmine

Man I gotta spin this later. E15th was one of my favorite projects the year it dropped (2018) I think. GQ is so criminally underrated man, to the point it makes me mad. Good to see he still dropping.

Spinning this joint today and it's dope as fukk. What other projects should I check from him?
If you want early, more raw GQ, check out Trouble Man or Death Threats & Loves Notes.

If you want to hear his more polished projects, check out Rated Oakland and E 14th. Both of these actually got a surprising amount of love here in The Booth. There's a dope joint on Rated Oakland with Nipsey and Big Pooh produced by 9th.

Glad you liked the EP. GQ's a really underrated emcee. It was crazy around here in NC when we heard the UNC point guard was rapping. We assumed it'd be like most ball players trying to rap. Had no idea he'd be such a well rounded artist.
