Red was my favorite MC growing up. It wasn't even close. I used to cop whole albums just because they had a Funk Doc feature on them. But I haven't heard a joint from the homie that I've really dug in probably 7-8 years.

I don't know if anyone feels me on this, but he's just not the same anymore. The whole vibe that made him so dope to me back then, is just gone now.

Me and a friend were having this same conversation the other night. It's crazy how he is one of my all time favorite emcees, yet at the same time, I haven't dug a whole album of his since 1999. A 14 year lull and I still overlook it because of his first 4 albums.

Yeah he's definitely fallen off. I did like Red Gone Wild and some of Blackout 2 but for the most part he's hasn't been the same since around 99/00
