I'm fully vaxxed and I'll continue to wear a mask and social distance. Da cut off point is when I feel comfortable enough not to do so. fukk how anybody feels about it.

a hipaa violation is when someone other than you or someone you've authorized discloses your medical data to another party.

masks don't have anything to do with hippa.

Exactly.

This is a whole lot different than calling people scary asses for not accepting their time to go.

what does that first sentence even mean? you specifically said/implied in your post that you wearing your mask protected you from getting covid and I corrected you. you said something like 'and people wonder why i still wear my mask.' unless you were replying to something i couldn't see bc i have that person on ignore, you're implying that wearing a mask protects you personally from others. then you said 'protecting myself has worked so far so why stop' which again implies that you wearing a mask protects you. what are you trying to say? wearing a mask doesn't protect you, it is meant to protect others. if that wasn't your original point, then you should word your sentences better.
shyt makes no sense.

That's like saying using an umbrella protects the rain from me and not me from the rain. Does a helmet protect the ground from my head too?

You use an umbrella to protect yourself from the rain. You wear a mask to protect others from your COVID.

If you're in an elevator with some dude who got COVID, if he does not have a mask on and starts coughing, you're getting that shyt, despite having your mask on.

The mask stops you from infecting other people, it does not stop other people from infecting you.

It’s going to take at least a decade for the virus to completely go away. Nobody have patience for that shyt, especially since new variants of the virus will pop up anyway. At this point people need to treat this like the new flu and get safely vaccinated and continue on to how things were before the epidemic. :yeshrug:

Breh, don't say a decade! Damn! Lol Smh..

Granted, I am used to wearing my masks, but I don't wanna wear masks when I am getting AARP discounts & eating off the old folks menu! Lol

But, other than that, I agree with you. We gonna deal with this shyt for a cool minute! Smh...

So covid droplets can pass through the mask on one side, and not pass through the other side?

This just proved my point. The mask is protecting me from inhaling his cough. The saturated air particles from him are blocked my mask. Using your logic, the mask can allow particles to enter but not exit. How would that even be possible?

How is an umbrella different than a mask? Both provide a layer of protection from the ements outside.

The FDA says

"If worn properly, a surgical mask is meant to help block large-particle droplets, splashes, sprays, or splatter that may contain germs (viruses and bacteria), keeping it from reaching your mouth and nose"
