Well, it looks like this one's definitely happening now. After a slight delay, work is now pressing ahead on the remake/reboot/whatever of National Lampoon's Vacation, which will see Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo reprising their roles of Clark and Ellen Griswold in cameos.
However, this is a passing the torch movie, and as such, the focus will be on their son, Rusty Griswold, played by Ed Helms. He decides to take his own family on a road trip, no doubt with hilarious consequences.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the writers behind Horrible Bosses, are penning the script and directing this one. And the cast is now going to feature Elizabeth Gillies (of Victorious fame), as well as Chris Hemsworth, Charlie Day and Christina Applegate.
