The NBA has created a new annual award that recognizes the league's "ideal teammate."

The award will be officially called the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award.

Finalists for the inaugural Twyman/Stokes Award were Jerry Stackhouse (Brooklyn Nets), Luke Walton (Cleveland Cavaliers), Andre Iguodala (Denver Nuggets), Jarrett Jack (Golden State Warriors), Roy Hibbert (Indiana Pacers), Chauncey Billups (Los Angeles Clippers), Shane Battier (Miami Heat), Roger Mason, Jr. (New Orleans Hornets), Jason Kidd (New York Knicks), Serge Ibaka (Oklahoma City Thunder), Manu Ginobili (San Antonio Spurs), and Emeka Okafor (Washington Wizards).

How do you even quantify such an award

Honestly, no stan but Kobe should win it. He had to play 48 mins a game carrying d league scrubs to the playoffs and tore his Achilles while doing so. Not to mention the numerous contracts he's given out: Luke Walton, Shannon Brown, Trevor Ariza, Kwame Brown, Lamar Odom, Earl Clark, etc etc. fukk it, name it the Kobe Bryant award.
