Slim was that dude and he is mos def right, breh.

I wish son was still living maybe Cut Throat Committee be a force to be reckon with (RIP VL Mike)

93 94 the murder rate was high. and it was mainly dude to the influx of heroin back then. Hell I remember a time when they bust these Vietnamese guys that was peddling out of this convenience store in the lower ninth ward shyt was all on the news (if you ever live in the lower ninth ward around that time you prolly heard about H&W)

Thalia street and South Saratoga, Valients were areas you couldn't even be on. Uptown still has that rowdy reputation though. Downtown is the same but they more quiet.

Same goes for Terra Lane (aka Terrible Terra Lane) in the east

yo what rappers they got popping down there?

I think my homie @Easy-E from N.O as well and @Ineedmoney504

as far as rappers that i can think of off the top of my dome.

Shawt (from out the east)
Dee-1 (homie David Augustine...dude was a teacher at L.B Landry High School)
Truth Universal (like a cross between Black Thought from the roots and Jay Electronica Oddisee (if you know who that is....Truth done some songs with Zion-I and M-1 from Dead Prez)
Calliope Var
BlockBurnas ( rap group out the 9th ward.....they rhymes are Mediocre As Hell)
Kaotic Da Kidd (i have heard nothing from dude since 09)
Stirgus (he mostly a battle rapper, been on these dvds called Keep United States Hood.....Stirgus is really animated when he raps)
Sess 4-5 (9th ward cat....heard he try to be a boxing promoter )
Lyrikill ( version of Devin Tha Dude, majority of his material is weed rap, chill music)

and my mind is drawing a blank

New Orleans is still crazy today, even though it has calmed down drastically. after the storm when you heard someone was from NOLA or they had that accent, you shut the fukk up and didn't cause/pursue drama with them because them nikkas would shoot up a pastor, missionary, police, anyone. hell this year someone shot up a mothers day parade :snoop:
