Nah man. She's just going where the winds blowing. Has less support from progressives/left than Bernie and has angered a portion of the more centrist wing of the party over the Franken situation. The sudden turn to being more progressive comes across more opportunistic than anything. Track record isn't as good.

Random: I honestly dont know but I feel like looking like Hillary works against her :yeshrug: lol.

the black cat is my crown...
i don't know how much i care why a politician does what they do... if a politician is promoting policies i agree with and their feet can be held to the fire to implement those policies then i'm okay with it... i'm not looking for benevolence... however, if a politician can't be counted on to support policies i agree with, well then it's a non-starter.....

Meh, I think it's a bit early to talk about 2020.

The midterms are by far the more pressing issue right now.
Do you think she plans to run for president?
And come on, this is HL we can walk and chew gum at the same damn time . . . I hope. :patrice:

I don't know if she'll run, but if she did I'd support her (though honestly I'd probably vote for anybody over Trump). From what I know of her policies I can fukk with her. :yeshrug:

My main concern with her to be honest is more personality. From what I've seen she just seems too "nice" so I'm not sure she can deal with Trump's insults, lies, and obfuscation. We need a Dem that won't be bullied by Trump and will tell him to eat a dikk if necessary. Hate it has to be this way but civility doesn't work against Trump.

I tend to agree with this general philosophy although some politicians will say something and not do it knowing there won't be ramifications if they are running in a safe district or state.

Would you vote for a politician that espouses 90% of what you believe in but isn't reliable or someone that you agree with 75% of the time and is reliable? :jbhmm: it's a legitimate question

Kirsten Gillebrand, do you believe her or nah?

Nah. She burned her bridge with the Clintons and the Dems who support her (which is a lot). So she's trying to ingratiate herself with the DemSoc crowd. How many DemSoc did she publicly endorse or campaign for? Did she know about any DemSoc running for the November primaries before it became big news? I didn't see why I should pay attention to her then and I honestly I don't see a reason to pay attention to her now.

75% of course. But if something in that 25% is a dealbreaker then it is. :manny:

i agree... that's why it's important that their feet can be held to the fire... if not then i'm not as interested in a politician....

reliability is more important than pandering.... why they are reliable is not as important to me though....
