Without a doubt one of the best artists right now. There's nobody else that sounds like him, lyrically or production wise.

dudes process is probably the exact opposite of every 'popular' rapper out now.

this guy said dno nikkas, no hoes and he drinking vegetable and fruit juice. these other nikkas prolly got nikkas in the studio they dont even know, mad drank and and an ominous weed cloud hovering in the studio.. :russ: maybe thats why i fukk wit marc and think all these new nikkas suck

Reading that interview makes me believe the life of a B-list rapper is better than the lives of your A-list rappers. Fukk my life.

I'm the same way when I'm in the studio, I'm same way. No hanging no chillin. If you're not about helping the project, fukk outta here.

Roc is the truth. Real great artist. Someone about his craft. Gotta make sure everything is on point. I can support and appreciate a artist like that. Ain't no half steppin

what was this dude doing before 2012?

was he in Flipmode Squad or something?

He was in Flipmode but he was only on a few joints

Look for his features on "Let's Make a Toast" & "The Heist"

Bust most notably he was a member of a four man rap crew called the U.N.

They put out an album on Carson Daly's record label years ago. No videos no promo just hardcore boom bap styled NYC hip-hop. Not sure if that was the plan but it is what it is. Quality album but maybe they listened to a little too much Wu. My favorite song on there was "Golden Grail". Roc's on the 1st verse and from the sounds of it did the track also.

interesting interview.i rarely read rapper interviews but Roc is one of my favorites and its interesting to hear about the writing and production process he goes through. also, its hilarious he lives in LA now considering his music is basically the definition of grimy NY shyt

yeah ironic alchemist is from out there too because he perfected the qb sound.

Yeah Roc Marciano been doing his thing since the late 90s with flipmode and some stuff with Pete Rock. I thought that he was one of those come and go rappers once his stint with flipmode ended because I could have sworn that I didn't hear him for a minute, other than that UN joint which was pretty good but slept on. But then he came through and crushed the buildings with that Marcberg joint a few years ago and has been on a roll since
