Whats the Price?Sounds like the official rollout and preorders go live Wednesday![]()
That's the appeal. They used as many OG parts as were avaliable. The creator said it's the same except a capacitor or two for compliance, and one of the digital circuits, but the new one is programmed the same way. This is as close as you can possibly make to an SP1200Dope. I'd like to see it. I read a bit yesterday (can't click link) It's the original sp 1200 inventor and he updated right?
I see Just is saying OG parts? No wonder that'll drive the price up. But that's the whole point of it for a lot of people. The new one won't give you the same sound because it has different parts.
Dope. I'd like to see it. I read a bit yesterday (can't click link) It's the original sp 1200 inventor and he updated right?

are you serious? hahahaa If this is true, it's gonna be the biggest scam in drum machine history.the original uses a SSM2044 chip for that sound. the new one uses SSI2144, which is the same exact chip used in the s2400. people gonna be mad when they realize it dont sound exactly the same and that they spent $4k on 10 additional seconds of sampling time when they couldve got the s2400 for $1500![]()
Perspective. You have the 2400 guys approximating the engine, then you have Rossum, the guy who created the 1200, replicating his work. The only reason it's the same chip is the chip from the 1200 is completely unavailable. It's still Rossum's "magic" according to him, and 1200 enthusiasts, including Pete Rock, but who knows what his motivation is, but he's shat on the 2400.are you serious? hahahaa If this is true, it's gonna be the biggest scam in drum machine history.
