:beli: JBO won't do in light on recent events, we need a full on live stripper section... j/k

Serious though in the near future can it be considered that we have a business subforum? I mean we all know everyone here is top businessmen :smugdraper: but I see a few of my brehs and brehettes out here a little lost in the business world.

I think a subforum concentrated on helping each other with business ideas/entrepreneurship, job search, topics, just the business game in general would be a good look for the coli.

Just post it in Higher Learning brehs. You know I sticky those threads when they come up. The problem is too many people never leave the Locker Room.

Naw it could or needs to be a subforum under higher learning then. I know where you're going and what you mean but everything business related is too big to be sticked alone in topics for HL. I post in HL to try and have dropped knowledge and you done a good job sticking the threads with knowledge its incumbent on the other posters if they want to absorb that knowledge though. A dedicated subforum of business on HL could bring more traffic to HL as well.

You have to provide incentives to leave the locker room. Humans respond by incentives. Another reason I said it maybe could be done in the near future when more posters/traffic are coming through.

No, I hear what you're saying. But one of the objectives was to have this site clean and without 10,000 subforums like the last one. I don't even necessarily need to sticky every business thread. If people ask those questions and it gets feedback then those posts will remain on the first page. But I agree with your point about more traffic. I think there is enough yet, and if it does emerge then I'm sure it's something bk will consider. I also think that perhaps the title of Higher Learning needs to be changed.

I think the name "The Marketplace" would be better in that the forum is envisioned as a marketplace for ideas, news, business, education, etc. That's why I stickied that conspiracy theory thread, I think that's what isolated a lot of people initially. But I hear you. I just don't know if the audience is there yet, but I also get the concept of giving them a reason to appear.

That evolution of HL may do. I just seen enough threads/posts related to the employment/business game scattered around acardium, locker room, hl and others to think this warrented a thread about a future request to centralize those inquires of business. As a forum grows you are bound to have more subforms or forums on different topics because of the various users interests, just like any org grows they eventually develop more divisions. It can still be simplified via layout. It was all thoughts being thrown out though to spark a few minds. Thanks for the input BarNone.

No problem, you're on of the people that are making Higher Learning work. Maybe a name change is in order though. Marketing is part of the game after all. What do you think?

You sort of answered you're own question, lol. Or something along those lines. You or some other mod would maybe need to figure out or layout some basic rules so others know what's to be expected in the forum on the topics like what's done in JBO. And if there are threads that should be in that forum based on the rules that are posted in other forums have the mods move them there to free up that forum and centralize it to your forum. I'm out the loop with all of that, that's up to y'all fellas. Just figure out the "branding" like you say and what is expected of the brand.

Its sort of a chicken or the egg thing w.r.t the business/employment stuff we're going back in forth about with regards to HL though. You'll figure it out, you're a Wolverine afterall :ld:
