New to Photoshop, need help

I don't even remember getting it
But its CS6.. I'm doing some stuff. Learning how easy some of this is
But I'm having an issue that I'm really tired of dealing with now, so if anyone can help?

I got a Layer I want to put onto another image.
the other image, on the side where it shows "layers" it just says index in the box instead of layer 1, layer 2/etc.
And its not letting me move a layer to that index photo
What do I do? Thanks in advance

Screen shot the layer section if you can, but do you want to copy the layer on a picture in the same project or a different one?

I just had to chage the color to RGB or some shyt and it makes it a editable jpeg
