I actually care because I'm a Christian, B, and while I'm not perfect of course, I would at least like something like this to be done right. And on the other hand, I care because I think the hypocrisy is funny to me, that's all. There is so much damn outrage anytime a black man or black woman takes over a fictional character who's traditionally been white but Jesus has been portrayed as white for decades even when there are facts that dispute it and no one bats an eyelash. It's like shyt is cool when it works in one race's favor

Will it is simple the bible describe Jesus as a man with kinky hair and dark skin it is preposterous that in 2014 they still refuse to put the real image of Jesus on the big screen... even the new movie gods of Egypt is a false representation of the people of that region during that time the truth needs to be depicted instead of white lies.

Yeah mos def discussing it here isn't going to get anyone of us anywhere so I respect you for that one because I wouldn't even jump into that, and this isn't even a shot at all white people because I don't get down like that but it is a shot at those fans who get all bent outta shape about stuff like comic book flicks but are cool with this kinda thing. The movie about Noah, the movie about Moses, both helmed by acclaimed directors and have mega talent starring in them and both starring white men in the leads playing real people who were not white, yet I don't see the outrage. I don't see the anger. I see "oh yes! I can't wait for the new Ridley Scott/Darrn Aronofsky biblical epic because they're awesome" yet they see a cast list for the new FF movie, just a cast list, no script, no trailer, no nothing, and the knives are out because Johnny is being played by a black man

seems like they just used deleted/extra footage from when they were making tv movie (the bible) and just said hey we can just re-edit this for the big screen
