Outside of sports and first person shooters the fun is to be had on PS4 but I digress...

Gears of war 4 is a dope third person shooter.
Ori and the blind forest is an incredible metroidvania style game.
Sunset overdrive is fun. (Third person shooter)
Metal Gear Solid V is one of my favorites of all time despite its flaws.
Ryse Son Of Rome isn't bad if you can find it for $10 - $20. I would say the same for Quantum Break.
I hear Netflix has some very easy achievements to unlock as well.

Didn't say it was a bad deal. But it's not exactly cheap either. U still need to pay online for live also. I would rather buy 3 new games than those especially for him since he don't want shooters or sports.

nikka new games are $60, gaming isn't the cheapest hobby
For the price of 2 or 3 newer games he can start off with an instant collection of games to keep him busy

Since your 360 broke in 2010 you can check out the games you missed out on that are backwards compatible. Bayonetta is free on games with gold this month. fantastic game.
