Nah. Nobody says west coast fell off coz Game made it ok to wear tounge rings and be weird online. Nobody thinks Canada scene gonna die off coz Drake made it cool to have ghost writers and cry over tuna sandwiches etc. NY just ain't had a hot artist in a while. And it ain't 50s fault.

the whole time there are always artists in thee.city popping & having success but NYC older generation don't support youth
why none of the older artists that had movements or labels keep a new generation of artists to continue their work¿
every era from the start NYC keeps some hitmakers but peep how none ever come of any type of artistic family tree no og's no big.homies in the business opening doors
the old heads don't see the potential for what we have here they mostly want the old days back
NYC youth need to tap their unique cultural upbringing & take the shyte worldwide fukk going back to exclusively local sounds & stateside sounds
this the only place on earth with so much of the whole african diaspora represented in one place that's the way forward for the sound..........
